Message from the Program Director

Najib Manea

Najib Manea, PhD, Program Director

The UNM-Valencia Teaching & Learning Center is located in the heart of the campus in the Learning Resource Center. We seek to enhance teaching and learning, improve student and faculty success and stimulate instructional effectiveness. The Center hosts a variety of faculty workshops and seminars and offers a wide range of instructional resources. The TLC is located in Room 138 and 139 of the LRC.

We are open Monday-Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Friday 8:00 AM until 12:00 pm. We offer pager support until 7:00 PM Monday through Thursday and are available for weekend support with advanced notice.

Our main goal is to provide the campus all it needs to strive at its best. We offer many workshops in a wide range of instruction including computer software, Microsoft Office, Audio and Visual Equipment, Classroom Management and much more. We also offer to the staff and faculty a variety of Teaching Resources including a specialty equipment checkout, private teaching library, and anything else instructors might need. We have an excellent staff that works directly with the staff and faculty and we are always looking for ways to improve teaching methods for stronger student success. Please come by and see us whenever you get the chance and see for yourself all that the Teaching & Learning Center has to offer!
